Wireless nurse call & passive safety monitoring

Continuous awareness. No cameras. No wearables.

VAKT detects falls, inactivity and calls for help in resident rooms, patient rooms and common areas, and routes each alert to the right staff in seconds. Nothing for residents to wear, charge, remember or operate.

Awareness

Continuous passive monitoring for presence, movement, falls, inactivity and calls for help.

Privacy

No cameras. No wearables. Local processing. Only processed signals are exposed externally.

Response

Alerts route to designated staff with configurable escalation and supervised fault monitoring.

The node

Discreet by design.

A small wall-mounted node in each room is all residents and patients ever see. No camera lens, no microphone, nothing to wear and nothing to press.

  • Senses presence, movement, breathing and heart rate
  • Processes signals on the device, inside the room
  • Talks only to the on-site hub over VAKT's private network
  • Wireless installation, with no walls opened or cables run

The need

Traditional nurse call waits to be pressed.

A pull cord or pendant only helps when a resident can reach it and is wearing it. Cameras close that gap at the cost of privacy. VAKT closes it without either.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Can't find what you need? Ask us directly.

How does VAKT detect falls without cameras?

Every movement and every breath changes the wireless signals in a room. A VAKT node in each room measures those changes. When it sees the sudden movement of a fall followed by stillness, it raises an alert to designated staff within seconds.

Do residents or patients need to wear anything?

No. There is nothing to wear, charge, remember or press. Residents who can ask for help still can, by physical call or by voice.

Does VAKT record video or audio?

No. VAKT has no cameras and no microphones recording the room. It senses changes in wireless signals only, so there is no footage or audio to store.

Can VAKT replace our nurse call system?

VAKT is built as a wireless nurse call and passive safety monitoring platform. It raises the call itself when it detects a fall or extended inactivity, and supports physical and voice calls for help. We scope how it fits alongside your current systems during the pilot.

Does any data leave our building?

Raw signal data never leaves the facility. Only processed alerts, events and readings are sent to the VAKT service on Google Cloud. For organizations that need everything on their own premises, VAKT can be deployed fully on site.

What happens if our internet connection goes down?

Detection keeps running on site, and the hub can still drive corridor lights and annunciators locally. The hub can also use its own 5G connection so it does not rely on your network.

How long does installation take?

VAKT is wireless, so no walls are opened and no cables are run. A typical pilot is installed and calibrated in one to two days.

Is VAKT a medical device?

No. VAKT is a wellness and activity monitoring system. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, or to replace clinical judgment.

Is VAKT HIPAA compliant?

VAKT is designed to minimize health information: no video or audio, no resident names required, and raw data kept on site. We work through your HIPAA requirements with your privacy and compliance team as part of every engagement.

Prove VAKT in your facility.

Every engagement starts with a scoped pilot and a written outcome report.
