How it works

Sensing nodes. An on-site hub. Staff alerted.

Every movement and every breath changes the wireless signals in a room. VAKT nodes measure those changes and turn them into events your team can act on.

The node

Discreet by design.

A small wall-mounted node in each room is all residents and patients ever see. No camera lens, no microphone, nothing to wear and nothing to press.

  • Senses presence, movement, breathing and heart rate
  • Processes signals on the device, inside the room
  • Talks only to the on-site hub over VAKT's private network
  • Wireless installation, with no walls opened or cables run

Nodes in rooms and common areas

A compact node in each resident or patient room, bathroom and common area senses presence, movement, breathing and heart rate on the device itself.

  2. 02

    Processed on site

Nodes report to an on-site hub over VAKT's own private network, separate from your facility WiFi. Raw signal data never leaves the building.

  3. 03

    Routed to the right staff

Alerts go to designated staff on their phones, with configurable escalation. The hub can also drive corridor lights and annunciators.

Capabilities

Built for the moments that matter.

Fall detection

Recognizes the sudden movement of a fall and the stillness that follows, and raises a single alert straight away.

Inactivity

Flags unusual periods without movement, so staff can check in before a quiet room becomes an emergency.

Dual-mode emergency call

Residents who can ask for help still can, by physical call or by voice, alongside passive detection for those who can't.

Breathing and heart rate

Contactless breathing and heart rate readings for each monitored room, measured while residents rest or sleep.

Presence and movement

A picture of activity and rest over time, so changes in routine are visible early.

Supervised system health

Every node and hub is supervised. If a device goes offline or develops a fault, staff are told.

Response

The alert reaches the right person, fast.

  • Alerts appear on staff phones over whatever is on screen
  • Configurable escalation if an alert isn't acknowledged
  • Corridor lights and annunciators driven from the hub
  • Time-stamped history of every alert and response
  • Local processing continues if the internet connection drops
